摘要: Objectives. The aims of this study were to perform a cultural translation the DMSES and evaluate psychometric properties translated scale in Korean population with type 2 diabetics. Methods. This was conducted patients diabetes recruited from university hospitals. first stage involved translating into using forward- backward-translation technique. content validity assessed by an expert group. In second stage, version (K-DMSES) evaluated. Results. K-DMSES satisfactory. Sixteen-items clustered four-subscales extracted exploratory factor analysis, supported confirmatory analysis. construct Summary Diabetes Self-Care Activities satisfactory (r = 0.50, P<0.001). Cronbach's alpha intraclass correlation coefficient 0.92 0.85 (P<0.001; 95% CI 0.75-0.91), respectively, which indicate excellent internal consistency reliability test-retest reliability. Conclusions. is brief instrument that has demonstrated good properties. It therefore feasible use practice, ready for clinical research involving diabetes.
