摘要: The necessity of developing an adequate understanding the relationships between potential impacts climate change on generation and delivery sediment nutrients cannot be over-emphasized. majority hydrological processes governing generation, transfer deposition have been shown to highly sensitive climatic factors. Consequently, changes in variables such as temperature rainfall are expected trigger and/or accelerate dynamics across disturbed catchments. Although South Africa variability, nutrient not entirely understood full range scales necessary for management, development adaptation strategies remains a critical part local water resources management. This paper, therefore, aimed at reviewing sediment/nutrient transport, implications this will present locally-relevant management-specific adaptation. It was concluded that regardless consequent quality, requires approach recognises both variability ensure flexibility robustness is incorporated those strategies.
