摘要: Topology related changes in the local density of states near ends closed carbon nanotubes are investigated using spatially resolved scanning tunneling spectroscopy and tight binding calculations. Sharp resonant valence band observed experiment at tube ends, dominating edge filling gap. Calculations show that strength position these with respect to Fermi level depend sensitively on relative positions pentagons their degree confinement ends.
