摘要: Many plant species indigenous to South Africa have ornamental, medicinal and horticultural value. Polyploidization is one technique that has been used artificially produce superior genotypes, particularly in species. In the current investigation two antimitotic substances, colchicine at concentrations of 0.1% 0.01% oryzalin 0.001%, were an attempt polyploidize microshoots Dorotheanthus bellidifonnis (Burm.f.) N.E.Br Mondia whiteii (Hook.f.) vitro. Microshoots D. M. obtained from nodal cuttings vitro germinated seedlings maintained for 48 hours liquid medium containing substances thereafter cultured on sucrose-supplemented MS medium. The treated evaluated elongation, necrosis, contamination phenolic exudation. Best results observed with transferred solid 0.2% activated charcoal 4 weeks. Leaves surviving plants excised flow cytometric analyses evaluate changes chromosome number. Shoots 0.01 % showed no number, while higher concentration produced polyploids mixaploids. However, a comparatively number altered onto multiplication medium, future evaluation phenotypic characteristics. germination response seeds was presence (0.01% 0.001%) (0.1% 0.01%). Poor oryzalin. Upon transfer subsequent growth
