摘要: Background: Pulmonary nodules are frequently detected during diagnostic chest imaging and as a result of lung cancer screening. Current guidelines for their evaluation largely based on low-quality evidence, patients clinicians could benefit from more research in this area.Methods: In statement the American Thoracic Society, multidisciplinary group clinicians, researchers, patient advocates reviewed available evidence pulmonary nodule evaluation, characterized six focus areas to direct future efforts, identified fundamental gaps knowledge strategies address them.
