摘要: Massive metal-poor stars might form massive stellar black holes (BHs), with mass 25 ≤ m BH /M ⊙ 80, via direct collapse. We derive the number of BHs (N ) that are expected to per galaxy through this mechanism. Such power most observed ultra-luminous X-ray sources (ULXs). select a sample 64 galaxies coverage, measurements star formation rate (SFR) and metallicity. find N correlates ULXs ULX in sample. discuss dependence our model on SFR The is found be crucial, consistently previous studies. metallicity plays role model, since lower enhances BHs. Consistently data indicate there an anticorrelation between , normalized SFR, A larger more homogeneous required, order confirm results.
