摘要: Physical activity (PA) is essential for human health and wellbeing across all age, socioeconomic, ethnic groups. Engagement with the natural world a new defining criterion enhancing benefits of PA, particularly children young people. Interacting nature children's social emotional wellbeing, develops resilience, reduces risk obesity type 2 diabetes mellitus population Governments around are now recognizing importance spending more active time outdoors. However, outdoor activities, free play, nature-related exploration often structured supervised by adults due to safety concerns risks. In this context, schools become accessible safe options engage in PA outdoors presence features. Research on school designs involving has revealed that prefer features environments. Affordances may increase interest physically behaviors. Given present campuses designed operational efficiency economic reasons, there need re-design responding positive role health. If were re-designed incorporate diverse features, consequent would likely improve markedly.
