摘要: Objectives To compare von Frey mechanical quantitative sensory thresholds (mQSTvF) between pelvic limbs in dogs before unilateral total hip replacement (THR) surgery; to correlate ground reaction forces (GRF) with mQSTvF; assess changes mQSTvF after THR surgery. Study Design Prospective clinical study. Animals Dogs (n = 44). Methods mQSTvF and GRF measured using a pressure sensitive walkway were evaluated before, 3, 6, 12 months after, THR. Measurements recorded from the affected (operated) limb (APL) non-operated (NPL). Random effects analysis forwards stepwise linear regression models used evaluate influence of time since surgery patient factors on thresholds. Results There no significant correlations data age, bodyweight or variables. Preoperative at APL NPL did not differ (P = .909). increased significantly (P = .047) (P = .001). In addition time, values by sex (higher males, P = .010) body condition score leaner dogs, P = .035) (P = .038). Conclusion Successful results decreased central sensitization months.
