摘要: Israel’s electricity sector faces the dual challenge of rapid economic growth – relative to most Western countries and generation capacity that is barely sufficient meet current needs. Israel has been at forefront renewable energy development for over 50 years, but, with sole exception solar water heating, unable use these technological developments develop its own sector. Since 2002, however, Government taken steps toward incentivising renewables by private sector, in order reduce heavy reliance on imported fuels international obligations under Kyoto Protocol. However, have not stimulated growth. Recently published feed-in tariffs thermal photovoltaic installations tenders large-scale commercial systems Negev, combined other proposed incentives discussed final section this chapter, may provide needed a significant country.
