A modified technique of immunoelectrophoresis facilitating the identification of specific precipitin arcs.

摘要: Summary A modification of the technique immunoelectrophoresis has been developed which facilitates identification individual precipitin arcs in complex mixtures proteins such as human serum. This modified procedure consists concurrent reaction antiserum with electrophoretically separated primary antigen solution ( e.g. , whole serum) and a known protein constituent. Examples are presented application to components Cohn Fraction IV-7 (primarily iron-binding globulin), ceruloplasmin, urinary case myeloma.
