摘要: Objective There has been no attempt to date synthesize the available evidence for efficacy of ginger treating primary dysmenorrhea. This systematic review evaluates current effectiveness dysmenorrhea. Methods Literature searches were conducted using 12 electronic databases including PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, Korean databases, Chinese medical and Indian scientific database. Search terms used were: “ginger” or “Zingiber officinale” “dysmenorrhea” “pain.” Studies as a treatment dysmenorrhea considered inclusion. The major outcome was assessed pain visual analogue score (PVAS). Results Initial yielded 29 articles. Of these original results, seven met specific selection criteria. Four RCTs compared therapeutic with placebo during first 3–4 days menstrual cycle included in meta analysis. meta-analysis data showed significant effect reducing PVAS subjects having (risk ratio, −1.85; 95% CI −2.87, −0.84, P = 0.0003). Six out 7 exhibited low moderate risk bias. Conclusion Collectively provide suggestive 750–2000 mg powder
