摘要: CDO is a cell surface receptor-like protein that positively regulates myogenic differentiation. Reported here the identification of BOC, which, with CDO, defines newly recognized subfamily within immunoglobulin superfamily. cdo and boc are co-expressed in muscle precursors developing mouse embryo. Like BOC accelerates differentiation cultured myoblast lines participates positive feedback loop transcription factor, MyoD. form complexes cis fashion via association both their ectodomains intracellular domains. A soluble fusion contains entire ectodomain functions similarly to full-length promote differentiation, indicating region dispensable for its activity this system. Furthermore, dominant-negative inhibits pro-myogenic effects suggesting dependent on activity. proposed be components receptor complex mediates some cell-cell interactions between required myogenesis.
