摘要: With access to whole genome sequences for various organisms and imminent completion of the Human Genome Project, entire process discovery in molecular cellular biology is poised change. Massively parallel measurement strategies promise revolutionize how we study ultimately understand complex biochemical circuitry responsible controlling normal development, physiologic homeostasis disease processes. This information explosion also providing foundation an important new initiative structural biology. We are about embark on a program high-throughput X-ray crystallography aimed at developing comprehensive mechanistic understanding abnormal human microbial physiology level. present rationale creation genomics initiative, recount efforts ongoing pilot studies, detail lofty goals, technical challenges pitfalls facing biologists.
