摘要: Exercise-induced bronchoconstriction (EIB) describes the post exercise phenomenon of acute airway narrowing in association with physical activity. A high prevalence EIB is reported both athletic and recreationally active populations. Without treatment, has potential to impact upon health performance. It now acknowledged that clinical assessment alone insufficient as a sole means diagnosing dysfunction due poor predictive value symptoms. Furthermore, broad differential diagnosis been established for EIB, prompting requirement objective evidence secure an accurate diagnosis. This article provides appraisal recent advances available methodologies, principle aim optimising diagnostic assessment, treatment overall care.
