摘要: Wounds undergo overlapping phases of repair that are mediated by cytokines, growth factors, and other chemotactic factors within the tissue. The duration each stage healing varies with wound type but can take many months to years resolve often results in development a scar. These scars result adverse aesthetics, loss function, restriction tissue movement, psychological effects. Despite numerous advances understanding science healing, there still undiscovered processes have be elucidated. Once more complete role cytokines involved is gained, future patient care may rely upon therapeutic manipulation signaling cascades involve these an attempt initiate scarless healing. We consider some examples approaches attempted using biopharmaceutical agents improve reduce scarring.
