摘要: Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine (H 2 ICE) powered vehicles have been considered a low emission, cost, practical method to help establish hydrogen fueling infrastructure. However, the naturally aspirated H ICE operating lean has performance issues requiring either increased displacement or induction boost comparable power modern gasoline IC engine. Ford Scientific Research Laboratory continued its system investigation, conducting dynamometer engine-boosting experiments utilizing 2.0 L Zetec engine (with compression ratios of 14.5:1 and 12.5:1), 2.3L Duratec HE-4 engine'(with ratio 12.2:1) with boosted manifold air pressure up 200 kPa. Test data brake torque exhaust emissions are reported at various pressures. Results detailed NOx study, conducted University California - Riverside, EGR aftertreatment for 2.0L also reported. The trade off between thermal efficiency, density, emission control strategy is discussed.
