摘要: Abstract Background: Information from the Swedish Cardiac Arrest Registry was used to investigate: (a) The proportion of patients suffering an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest who were given bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation (B-CPR). (b) Where and by whom B-CPR given. (c) effect on survival. Method: a prospective, observational study arrests reported Registry. Analyses based standardised reports ambulance organisations in Sweden, serving 60% population. From 1983 1995 ∼15–20% population had been trained CPR. Results: Of 9877 patients, collected between January 1990 May 1995, attempted 36%. In 56% these cases, bystanders lay persons 25% they medical personnel. Most took place at home (69%) only 23% contrast other places where 53% Survival 1 month significantly higher all cases that received (8.2 vs. 2.5%). odds ratio for survival with logistic regression analysis 2.5 (95% CI 1.9–3.1). Conclusions: willingness ability perform appears be relatively widespread. More than half performed laypersons. resulted two threefold increase
