摘要: The Seteni Estuary is a small temporarily open/closed estuary (TOCE) in South Africa under the influence of agricultural practices. While general significance microalgae to estuarine production widely recognised, factors regulating microalgal biomass these heterogeneous systems are less well understood, particularly when man-induced pressures superimposed on natural variability. This study investigated responses physico-chemical variability nutrient-enriched 2008–2009. Microphytobenthic ranged from 1.1 91.7 mg Chl m-2, while phytoplankton varied between 0.22 and 18 m-3.
