摘要: Despite advances in chemotherapy, the prognosis for advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) remains dismal. Increasing understanding of biological processes responsible carcinogenesis has led to development new therapeutic strategies targeting this disease at a molecular level. This article examines events believed lead cellular changes cancer, and how knowledge these is used develop agents individually or combination with available cytotoxic drugs improve survival. Finally, it explores deeper embryonic signaling pathways airway epithelial repair tumorogenesis, such as Hedgehog (Hh), Notch, Wingless (Wnt), can newer more specific therapies cancer.
