Relocation Counselling and Supportive Services as Tools to Prevent Negative Spillover Effects: A Review

摘要: This paper aims to review the literature on negative neighbourhood spillovers connected four voluntary housing mobility programs: Gautreaux 1 and 2 (Chicago), Moving Opportunity Fair Housing Demonstration (five cities) Baltimore Mobility Program. Although these programs involve moves, a great deal may be learned from them because of (1) efforts forestall community opposition (2) special counselling supportive provided ease adjustment into destination neighbourhoods. Unfortunately, available research often falls short in providing evidence for or against spillover effects. Nevertheless, our indicates that screening out multi-problem families, limiting number voucher families moving particular neighbourhoods both pre- post-relocation program participants can minimize risk spillovers.
