摘要: The sol-gel process is a solution synthesis technique which provides low temperature chemical route for the preparation of rigid transparent matrices. A number laser dyes have been incorporated in different matrices and tunable action has demonstrated with these materials. This paper extends field into two significant areas, infrared pyrromethenes. work tricarbocyanine shows versatility chemistry as organic modifications produce favorable environment dye molecules. results pyrromethene system show considerable increase output energy offer promise longer lifetimes.
