摘要: We describe a patient with severe pityriasis rubra pilaris in whom extensive extraspinal hyperostoses developed after 13 years of oral retinoid treatment. The most prominent abnormality was bridging exostosis between the left acetabulum and collum. X-ray examinations spine during therapy showed no abnormalities. During treatment, it is important to ask on regular basis about any skeletal pains or mobility restriction. Normal spinal x-ray results are guarantee that free hyperostoses. Discontinuation acitretin resulted exacerbation patient's 2 weeks. clinical response administration azathioprine clearly inferior acitretin. However, low-dose methotrexate appeared be good alternative this patient, result comparable side effects 6 months therapy.
