摘要: As we have seen in Part One of this book, coating a solid surface with liquid film is very complex physical process. The behavior the influenced important and fundamental ways by physics associated tension interfacial phenomena, wetting liquid, fluid rheology, surfactants, heat mass transfer chemical reactions involved drying curing film. tasks engineer or scientist to incorporate these effects into predictive mathematical model Complete accurate models numerical computations for simple processes are available today. However, not case more complicated processes. These may contain many dependent variables large sets nonlinear differential equations boundary conditions. They be posed on geometry. For some effects, such as fidelity accuracy still debated. other difficulties put solution out range our capabilities severely strain current methods. In addition, uncertainties portions bring question whether predictions indeed possible.
