摘要: Food consumption data were obtained by semi‐quantitative food frequency questionnaires, for 12–13 year olds and 17–18 (N = 409) living in urban semi‐rural areas of Gaza. The major source dietary fat came from foods rich monounsaturated fatty acids, such as olives, olive oil, nuts seeds, their products. Significant differences observed group intakes age, sex, place residence, other sociodemographic factors. Two evaluation scores calculated: the Dietary Diversity Score (DDS), Assessment (DAS); these measures indicated that this population consumed, on average, an adequate variety quantity foods. This is remarkable considering large sibship sizes. Of a possible maximum DDS 4, mean score was 3.7 ± 0.5; average DAS 12.6 2.6, total 16. Older boys had higher compared to girls same age (p 0.0001).
