A simplification of Heukeshoven and Dernick's silver staining of proteins

摘要: The procedure of Heukeshoven and Dernick for silver staining proteins in polyacrylamide gels is simplified by applying Farmer's reducer before impregnation with nitrate rinsing the gel 2.5 % sodium carbonate instead distilled water. This modification yields pattern good contrast without a destaining-restaining step.
