摘要: Purpose To provide guidance on how to appropriately quantitate various choriocapillaris (CC) parameters with optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA). Design Evidence-based perspective. Methods Review of literature and experience authors. Results Accurate reliable quantification CC using OCTA requires that can be visualized the measurements are validated. For accurate visualization, selected slab must physiologically sound, produce images consistent histology, yield qualitatively similar when viewing repeats same scan or scans different sizes. quantification, measured intercapillary distances (ICDs) should known histology adaptive optics and/or OCTA, physically meaningful based resolution instrument density scans, algorithm for binarization appropriate generate results, calculated from multiple sizes quantitatively similar. If Phansalkar local thresholding method is used, then its optimized patterns used. It recommended window radius used in related expected average ICD normal eyes. Conclusions Quantitative analysis commercially available instruments complicated, researchers need tailor their strategies instrument, patterns, anatomy, achieve measurements.
