摘要: Abstract Behavioral decision theory suggests that the perceived favorability of outcomes depends on how they are framed. Recent research in justice literature outcome and procedural fairness interactively combine to influence employees′ reactions a resource allocation decision. The present study tested hypothesis derived from integration these two literatures: frame-by affecting favorability-would interact with individuals′ All participants were layoff survivors; primary dependent variable was their trust support for organization subsequent layoff. Through framing manipulation, half evaluated criteria used keep certain employees rather than others (Keep condition), whereas other judged dismiss (Dismiss condition). Survivors also As predicted, frame interacted survivors′ organization. When low, survivors reacted more favorably positive (Keep) negative (Dismiss) condition. high, however, had no effect reactions. Possible explanations findings, as well theoretical practical implications, discussed.
