摘要: Aims:  The purpose of this study was to examine the demographic and clinical characteristics that differentiate between elderly non-elderly visitors in psychiatric emergency room (ER), identify factors predicting transferal after management elderly. Methods:  Data were collected over four years for patients who visited ER. defined as older than 65 old. Demographic analyzed using χ2-test categorical data t-tests continuous data. Multivariate logistic regressions carried out find predictive associated with being transferred a general hospital ER. Results:  Elderly made up 3.4% all included (n = 243) during four-year period. mean number visits 1.63 ± 1.18, ranging from 1 7. t-test indicated different controls many variables. regression analysis showed ER age (odds ratio = 1.32) greater previous hospitalizations ratio = 1.42). Patients without thought-form problem also required more often our study. Conclusions:  suggested unique group, specific considerations should be intervention these patients.
