摘要: A questionnaire was developed, according to the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) published guidelines, supplement EORTC quality life questionnaire-core 30 (QLQ-C30) assess (QL) women with ovarian cancer treated in clinical trials. The provisional 28-item module, OV28, assesses abdominal symptoms; peripheral neuropathy; other chemotherapy side-effects; hormonal body image; attitude disease treatment; sexual functioning. first 24 items module (excluding functioning) were included a UK multicentre trial (SCOTROC). data used preliminary scaling analysis. Two problematic identified. When these as single along 'other side-effects' instrument showed excellent scale properties. Mean scores discriminated between patients pre- on chemotherapy. This is promising tool assessing QL cancer. international field study (Protocol 15982) more fully psychometric properties OV28 well underway.
