Structure and Aromatic Character of Non‐benzenoid Cyclically Conjugated Systems

摘要: The chemistry of aromatic compounds was originally confined to benzenoid hydrocarbons and their derivatives but has been enriched in the last decade by discovery numerous non-benzenoid, cyclically conjugated systems that are more or less like benzene properties. This necessitated a new conception “aromatic character”. Theoretical experimental studies have applied this problem. In connection, several selected representatives class compound described, mostly from author's own group, relationships between structure character” indicated.
