摘要: The definitive treatment of early stage prostate cancer with radiation therapy has progressed dramatically over the past two decades primarily due to development and implementation intensity-modulated (IMRT) techniques better definition role androgen deprivation (ADT). IMRT permitted escalation radiotherapy dose target tissues, namely, proximal seminal vesicles, in an effort improve tumor cell killing local control, while also reducing nearby organs at risk (OARs) including bladder, rectum, bowel, femoral heads, penile bulb. Advances image-guided (IGRT) have improved accuracy delivery IMRT, reduced PTV margins, consequently decreased acute long-term side effects. This chapter will review clinical evidence for use stage, clinically localized (T1–2N0M0) outline processes involved designing implementing a safe effective plan.
