摘要: As part of predesign studies for closure the Operating Industries, Inc. (OII) landfill Superfund site, field and laboratory were combined with back analyses strong motion data to characterize behavior OII solid waste when subjected earthquake shaking. Small strain shear modulus values material established on basis measurements wave velocity unit weight. Large-diameter (457 mm) cyclic direct simple (CyDSS) testing was performed reconstituted specimens investigate reduction damping characteristics at large strains. Results two-dimensional finite element recorded site results CyDSS establish curves over range required design. One-dimensional deconvolution motions fill base an essential step in data. The resulting indicate that is a fairly linear small intermediate range, but significant occurs exceeds approximately 0.1%.
