摘要: Scavenger birds can feed on large- to small-sized vertebrates and may contribute in the formation of archaeological sites. To evaluate modifications dispersal patterns bones produced by New World vulture caracara from Northwestern Patagonia, samples adult sheep, young hare carcasses were offered subsequently analyzed. vultures caracaras quickly fed samples. Taphonomic bone suggest two types accumulations: (1) open-air sites with large medium-sized represented complete, fractured, scratched, notched, punctured elements (2) rock shelter or cave dominated small broken, corroded, digested elements.
