摘要: BACKGROUND: Leakage from colonic anastomosis is a major complication causing increased mortality and morbidity. Ischemia well-known cause of this event. This study was designed to investigate the effects adrenomedullin on healing ischemic colon in rat model. METHODS: Standardized left resection 3 cm above peritoneal reflection were performed 40 Wistar rats that divided into four groups. To mimic ischemia, mesocolon ligated 2 either side all The control groups (1 2) received no further treatment. experimental (3 4) Adrenomedullin therapy started perioperative period group 4 (the therapeutic groups). Group 1 sacrificed postoperative day 3. 7. After careful relaparotomy, bursting pressure, hydroxyproline, malondialdehyde, interleukin 6, nitric oxide, vascular endothelial growth factor, tumor necrosis factor alpha levels measured. Histopathological characteristics analyzed. RESULTS: animals had significantly higher pressure than (p<0.05). Hydroxyproline lower mean different between by relative When compared, malondialdehyde oxide statistically significant difference observed. Interleukin 6 decreased parameters inflammatory changes (e.g., granulocytic cell infiltration, necrosis, exudate) among CONCLUSION: positive histopathologic anastomotic model anastomosis.
