PRIMARY CARCINOMA OF THE THYMUS

摘要: The rarity of primary carcinomas the thymus is indicated by fact that only three cases have been reported since article Rubaschow 1 in 1911. He had gathered from literature reports sixty-nine tumors thymus, fifty-two sarcomas, twelve and five undetermined growths. A further search has revealed another carcinoma Pollosson Piery 2 1901 (apparently overlooked Rubaschow), one Honda Taguchi 3 1921, Symmers Vance 4 1921 Jacobson 5 1923. case herewith therefore seventeenth recorded. REPORT OF CASE History. —A. L. L., aged 58, a traveling salesman, came under observation, Feb. 5, 1925. For months he constant pain left hypochondrium lumbar region. There right side for about two months.
