摘要: This chapter reviews the application of Ecosystem Management Decision Support (EMDS) to conservation planning in a large forest landscape. A significant challenge faced by planners is explicitly defining and mapping values interest. EMDS powerful decision support development tool that can be used facilitate explicit consistent definition subjective values, which then variety spatial assessments. We describe case study for Sierra Checkerboard Initiative where we assess map three across largely forested 4,856 km2 landscape northern Nevada California: biodiversity, mature connectivity, passive recreation.
