摘要: Many adhesive interactions between cells and their surrounding extracellular matrix are mediated by receptors in the integrin family. In addition, several cell-cell integrins. Ligands specifically recognized integrins include ECM components (collagen, laminin, fibronectin, vitronectin), cell-surface proteins Ig super-family (ICAM-1, ICAM-2, ICAM-3, VCAM-1), serum (fibrinogen, von Willebrand factor, complement fragment C3bi). At present family includes at least 14 α subunits, seven β arranged to form 19 distinct heterodimers as shown schematically Figure 6.1.
