摘要: Knowledge of soil properties and processes are crucial to the understanding terrestrial hydrologic cycle functioning ecosystems. In this paper, we present current state potential hyperspectral remote sensing techniques for quantitative retrieval properties. Remote is used detect chemical physical either (i) directly from bare pixels, (ii) through advanced spectroscopy methods in mixed “soil-vegetation-litter” (iii) by measurements overlying vegetated canopy infer moisture status. Optical-geometric surfaces reveal information on features, such as structure, crusting, erosion. We also investigate use vegetation water indices drying wetting root zone. conclude with a discussion future needs directions properties. Keywords: soil properties; hyperspectral sensing; vegetation indices; soil moisture; salinity; soil structure; organic matter; mineralogy
