摘要: Abstract The aim of this paper is to demonstrate that lubrication theory provides a simple, yet powerful, means for understanding wide variety complex flow phenomena inside the bead roll coating systems. Attention focussed on forward regime, with rollers moving in same direction through nip, and analytical predictions are obtained over range low flux (meniscus coating) situations. Although full field within often quite due existence eddies transfer-jets, it shown structure can be classified analytically according nature stagnation points flow. axe compared those from numerical solution field, which incorporates effects upstream downstream free surfaces. agreement between results extremely good all instances, fact clearly demonstrates much behaviour well understood without having resort solutions.
