摘要: AIMS/INTRODUCTION The relationship of chromogranin A (CgA) levels above the normal range with various outcomes, such as glycated hemoglobin levels, enterochromaffin-like cell hyperplasia and autoimmune gastritis, was investigated in type 1 diabetes patients special regard to progression comorbidities. MATERIALS AND METHODS A cohort study on 153 carried out a prospective branch clinical laboratory data, retrospective histological data obtained by gastroscopy. RESULTS Patients CgA upper limit (n = 28) had significantly higher (P = 0.0160) than those (n = 125). correlation between significant (P < 0.0001), but weak (R = +0.32). slight, steady elevation (P = 0.0410) level observed co-vary duration diabetes. Enterochromaffin-like gastritis more frequent (P = 0.0087 for both) high group. Detailed analyses gastric tissue samples confirmed (P = 0.0192) accompanied (P = 0.0316). CONCLUSIONS early detection follow up later into neuroendocrine tumors, which have ~100-fold greater incidence patients, can be achieved assessment levels. Therefore, use could considered novel auxiliary biomarker care these complications.
