摘要: Gallium-67 is a useful adjunct in the diagnosis of variety diseases. At present 67Ga radiopharmaceutical choice for radionuclide imaging tumors and can be used to monitor efficacy particular therapeutic regimen (Bekerman et al., 1985). Clinical studies have shown utility number neoplastic diseases; Hodgkin’s disease, histiocytic lymphoma, lung cancer, hepatoma melanoma. It also infections lung, e.g. P. carinii pneumonia, abdomen, bone, joints kidneys detection occult inflammation. Whereas sensitivity this technique always very high, 90-95%, specificity generally low because concentrate both inflammatory processes. With additional clinical information usually improved 80-90% range. Other drawbacks include nonspecific, high liver bowel uptake (obscuring lesions) long time intervals before (2448 h). In particular, activity may as problem, “‘In labeled white blood cells (“‘In-WBC) will likely replace abdominal lesions (Goodwin 1981). chronic inflammations, however, data from human (Sfakianakis 1982) animal (Bitar 1986) suggest that superior “‘In-WBC. Also recent study using “‘In-antimelanoma monoclonal antibody showed agents were complementary combining increase (Cornelius 1986). This suggests remain viable technique, at least near future. To attempt improve there been numerous investigations into localization mechanism. Although nuclear medicine latest buzzword receptors, many fail think “‘Ga receptor-mediated process, probably conflicting data. Previous reviews discussed factors involved (Hoffer, 1980; Tsan, 1985; Tsan Scheffel, review I wish specifically examine evidence concerning role transferrin other receptors uptake. addition, placed historical perspective summarizing earlier work examining detail most
