摘要: Complex signal analysis allows separation of instantaneous envelope and phase seismic waveforms. Seismic attributes have long routinely been used in geological interpretation processing data as robust tools to highlight relevant characteristics In the context adjoint waveform inversion (AWI), it is crucial choosing an efficient parameter describe data. The most straightforward option using whole waveforms but mixing amplitude parameters increases nonlinearity inherent methodology. Several studies support good functioning (IP), a more linear measure misfit between synthetic recorded IP calculated inverse tangent function, where its principal value can be defined either wrapped different limits or also unwrapped. presents jumps that reflect noise results. conditioning these discontinuities solves problem partially continuous unwrapped not descriptor waveform. For this reason, worth explore beyond traditional description parameter. Two alternative functions studied: 1) revision triangular 2) first implementation normalized signal. main objective paper therefore, review fundamentals attribute order design IP-based which allow mitigating AWI method.
