摘要: Abstract In this paper, a layered Al2O3/Cr2O3 composite coating was prepared on the surface of super-clean reduced activation martensitic (SCRAM) steel by combination pack cementation and sol-gel methods as tritium permeation barrier. First, processes conducted at 980 °C for 30 min to form chromed layer then sample oxidized Cr2O3 760 °C 2 h. Subsequently, method as-prepared finally with subsequent thermochemical treatment. The results showed first forming consisted 6 μm thick exterior 2 μm interior diffusion due inter-diffusion Cr Fe. three-layered structure total thickness 10.5 μm. outer Al2O3, middle mixing consisting Al2O3 Cr2O3, inner Cr,Fe layer. Well- crystallized α-Al2O3 formed in 960 °C which is below formation temperature resulting from templet effect isostructural Cr2O3. hydrogen test revealed exhibited good barrier property against penetration, thus maybe choice increase resistance SCRAM steel.
