摘要: COMPARATIVE CRANIAL OSTEOLOGY OF ARCTOCEPHALUS AUSTRALIS AND A. TROP/CALIS (PINNIPEDIA, OTARllDAE). A comparative description of the major cranial features Arc/acephalusaustralis (Zimmermann, 1783) andA. tropicalis (Gray, 1872) is presented based on analysis of74 specimens.The evidences show that both species are very distinct basis ofumil now unconsidered characters: orbit size, basioccipital width, position foramens and morphology tympanic bullae. Craniometries data also presented, 10 corroborate differences characters. Age categories revaluated condylo-basallenghl.
