摘要: We investigated the ability of bees to associate a motor parameter with sensory one. Foragers were trained fly along prescribed route through large box which was partitioned into compartments. Access from one compartment next hole in each partition. In two compartments, back wall covered grating black and white stripes. Stripe orientations required trajectories differed compartments so giving opportunity learn that stripe orientation signalled need leftwards other rightwards. videotaped bees' these tests on four possible orientations. Flight stripes training appropriately left or right implying had linked given flight direction orientation. With gratings oriented between values, directions were, under some conditions, intermediate directions. This interpolation indicates regime induced continuous mapping trajectory thus suggests is encoded explicitly within brain. describe simple network interpolates much like we consider how may contribute navigate flexibly familiar environment.
