摘要: ABSTRACTResearch indicates that truthful statements typically contain more details than fabricated statements, and truth tellers are no consistent liars over multiple interviews. In this experiment, we examine the impact of (i) interviewers (ii) reverse order recall on liars’ tellers’ consistency amount reported detail repeated attempts. Participants either took part in a mock crime (lying condition) or an innocent event (truth telling which they were subsequently interviewed about two separate interview phases. Truth provided overall, reminiscent liars. There differences between veracity groups for number omissions made repetitions reported.
