摘要: The present article described the synthesis of coumarin-containing polypeptides using water-soluble active ester method and reinforcement polyion complex (PIC) fibers by photochemical cross-linking between polypeptide-pendant coumaryloxyacetyl groups. Two kinds cationic polypeptides, poly(α,L-lysine) (PLL) poly(α,L-ornithine) (PLO) were treated with (4-hydroxyphenyl)dimethyl sulfonium methyl sulfate in water to incorporate photoreactive groups into side chain amino PLL PLO. contents produced polypepides controlled molar ratios ester. resulting spun PIC anionic polysaccharide gellan water. tensile strengths superior those intact PLL- PLO-gellan fibers. mechanical strength further increased upon light-irradiation. From these results, we concluded that hydrophobic interactions covalent due dimerization significantly contributed results afford a new methodology was achieved polymer modification reaction watery process.
