ANALYSIS OF THE BANKING SYSTEM'S CONCENTRATION DEGREE IN EU COUNTRIES

摘要: This paper focuses on four main fields of interest. The first part the study is dedicated to an analysis specialized literature with a view highlighting our research area. second concentrates recent trends in evolution bank concentration indexes. third consists key-indicators which influence degree concentration, while last establishes relation between Herfindahl index and (Total assets, Number credit institutions, Population Gross domestic product at market price) help correlation At end we present conclusions. We find that overall European banking not very concentrated.
