摘要: Earth impact by an asteroid or comet represents a rare but potentially catastrophic hazard. Since the majority of Earth’s surface is covered water, such events are statistically likely to involve oceans seas. Issues associated with modeling water impacts, from event that generates waves wave propagation and interaction shorelines, discussed. Simulation results for several scenarios presented illustrate problem demonstrate current state-of-the-art methods used impacts.
