摘要: River water composition (major ion and Sr-87/Sr-86 ratio) was monitored on a monthly basis over period of three years from mountainous river (Nethravati River) southwestern India. The total dissolved solid (TDS) concentration is relatively low (46 mg L-1) with silica being the dominant contributor. basin characterised by lower Sr (avg. 150 nmol L-1), radiogenic isotopic ratios 0.72041 at outlet). their correlation silicate derived cations in reveal that source rock minerals. Their stream controlled combination physical chemical weathering occurring basin. molar ratio SiO2/Ca show strong seasonal variation water, i.e., isotopes during non-monsoon higher less monsoon season. Whereas, Rb/Sr not significant suggesting change mineral phase involved reaction could be unlikely for observed isotope water. Therefore, shift attributed to contribution ground which contact bedrock (weathering front) secondary soil minerals regolith layer monsoon. leads limited cation enhanced fluxes Nethravati (C) 2015 Elsevier Ltd.
